These are the commands available when scoring an Alpine Ski tournament with teams. When scoring a non-team tournament (or for Cross Country) the commands are slightly different.
To score an event for "Individual Scoring" you may select "Total Time" or "Best Time (of 2 runs)". If your race setup indicated that the event being scored on this sheet was for a single run only, the other options are disabled. Individual Scoring for Cross Country meets is by net time.
The dialog box shown above is for the Minnesota scoring system. When you score the race for "Individual Results" the above dialog box appears. There are four ways to determine the points for your first place racer. (The top option shown above was for a meet consisting of 8 teams with 7 persons per team. The program calculated the answer as 56 (thank you Mr. Gates). To complete the team scoring select the "Team Scoring" command and the teams will be scored highest to lowest. If you penalize a team while using the Minnesota system the penalty is subtracted from a teams score. If you penalize a team using the conventional scoring method the penalty is added to a team's score. Here is page 1 of the printed Individual Results from our sample Alpine race. Conventional scoring was used.
The following picture shows the Combined Results for Individuals (by combined time). The program combines the times or finish position for all competitors from the events you elect to combine and gives you this composite sheet.
